Mrs. Well PE Teacher

Hello Meerkat families my name is Mrs. Well and I teach PE.  This will be my 10th year at MLA, I taught 3rd grade for 2 years, followed by 4th grade for 5 years.  This will be my 3rd year teaching PE.  Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors in the summertime, kayaking, hiking, playing softball etc.  My favorite parts about MLA are the awesome relationships I have built with families over the years and the strong sense of community we have as a school.  Teaching PE allows me to get to know each and every one of the students at MLA. 

I was born and raised in Eugene Oregon. What brought me to Portland was my softball scholarship to Concordia University. Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to become a teacher. During my  years at Concordia I met my husband who played baseball, and became a health and PE teacher as well. We now have a 6 year old son who will be in first grade at MLA this year. I look forward to seeing all of the students even if it is on a screen. Teaching PE online is a difficult task, so you will see me in a variety of roles during distance learning.
