Hello! I am Ms. Ruddell and this is my 9th year of teaching Kindergarten!

 

I’m originally from Spokane, WA, but have lived in Oregon for the last 10 years. I have a 7 year old son and four cats.

 

I am a 4th generation educator in my family and have always loved working with younger children. Throughout high school I used to teach dance, then worked at Head Start during college while continuing to teach dance, and finally landing my dream job here at MLA as a Kindergarten teacher!

 

Ms. Frizzle has always been the teacher I strive to be--quirky, "out there", spontaneous, and memorable. I desire to provide my students with an exceptional experience during their year with me, thus creating lifelong thinkers and learners. I love to make learning fun and hands on.

When I’m not teaching, I love to bake, dance, sew, and read. My favorite children’s authors are Jan Brett and Mo Willems, but my favorite book character is Splat the Cat.
